What are the materials of filter cotton

July 9th at 1:33pm

Synthetic fiber filter cotton: This is an emerging filter material that has advantages such as low resistance, light weight, large capacity, environmental friendliness, incinerability, and moderate price. It is mainly made of polyester fiber (PET) as the main raw material, which has good wrinkle resistance, elasticity and dimensional stability, as well as excellent resistance to chemical reagents, and can withstand weak acids and bases. Synthetic fiber filter cotton can comprehensively replace non-woven fabrics and glass fibers in general filtration environments, covering a full range of coarse, medium, and high-efficiency filtration products, and is the main development direction of future filtration materials

Non woven filter cotton: scientific name polyester fiber, commonly known as non-woven fabric. It has the characteristics of wide use, mature technology, and good stability, and is a typical filter material for primary and medium efficiency plate and bag filters in China. Non woven filter cotton is made through multiple processes such as melt blown, needle punched, water spunbond, and spunbond. Compared with other filter materials of the same grade, it has the advantages of stable quality, large dust capacity, strong moisture resistance, long service life, and economic durability. In recent years, the emergence of composite non-woven fabrics has greatly improved the cheap and low-end image of non-woven fabrics, achieving sub high efficiency and also being used for filtration in places with relatively high air cleanliness requirements

Glass fiber filter cotton: mainly made of various thicknesses and lengths of glass fibers through special processing techniques. Fiberglass filter cotton, with its stable performance, high temperature resistance, high efficiency, large capacity, and long service life, is widely used in the initial efficiency filter, high temperature resistance filter, and high efficiency filter of general ventilation systems, in places and environments with high requirements for air filtration

Activated carbon filter cotton: The characteristic of activated carbon is to remove odors from the air. Activated carbon filter cotton refers to synthetic fibers that have been impregnated with carbon and treated with glue. Due to the role of activated carbon in removing odors, the filtration efficiency is not emphasized. In use, it is generally necessary to cooperate with the use of independent primary and intermediate efficiency filters
